This
two day highly practical
clinic will introduce you to a 'hands off' energy connection
with the horse, a channel that deepens your connection to
the horse by helping you to dissolve the ego and make contact
with your own archaic knowledge, and that of the horse.
We
have around twenty or so horses that we can work with. All of the horses have arrived here to be rehabilitated, re-educated and prepared for new homes. Many of them arrive in a state of trauma. The horses themselves
usually decide which of them need, or want, to work with us, and
the majority of students say that they feel the horses are
healing us, rather than the other way round. There have been
magical moments that's for sure. The clinics are an amazing experience for both teacher and student alike. Jan says, 'I cannot believe that each clinic gets better and better. The horses really throw themselves into the experience and the students are profoundly moved by how the horses relate to them. I love it. We are helping these horses so much, and they are helping us!'

Important
note
Many of the horses that arrive at the venue have had a tough
life. Some might be struggling to accept that things are going
to get better for them. They are there to be healed and rehabilitated
and to discover hope, maybe for the first time in their lives.
It is not their job to fix us, although they do try and, to
that end, they
respond positively to students that have a lighthearted
flexible and loving approach
to healing. My role, for these horses, is to endeavor to protect
them from potential energies that may not be so good for them,
hence the list below.
Please do read it carefully.
You will love this clinic
if you : -
are
a person that loves horses and have the greatest respect for
them as soul beings
have empathy and understanding for their behaviour
try, as much as is humanly possible, to fulfill a horses
needs
basically like other people and are supportive of anyone struggling
on their path
have a supportive and empathic approach to fellow
students
enjoy a flexible approach to the healing process
are emotionally balanced - this doesn't mean
that you are perfect, but you are self aware and focused on
improving your inner and outer self
last but not least
- have a good sense of humour. My
guides often use humour to enable me to hold the energy and
the space, so we do tend to laugh a lot on these clinics
You will not enjoy this
clinic if you: -
believe that horses are fine being stabled for very
long periods of time {other than for illness
or injury}
don't have a good understanding of horse behaviour
and primal needs
believe that horses should accept and comply with whatever
we want
think it is okay to hit horses if they display 'unacceptable'
behaviour
don't like, or don't get along with people, and have poor
communication skills
thrive on structure and are not comfortable
with a flexible approach to healing
for whatever reasons, are emotionally unbalanced at
this point in your life
Do not have a good sense of humour

Freddie {left}
A wonderful horse that shows here how much he loves to take part in jumping. He is proving to be an excellent hunter and is a wonderfully receptive horse that loves to work with students. At the moment his issue is that he isn't gaining any weight, despite being happy and settled here. He is an affectionate and gentle boy.

Monty {above} is a 7 year old ex steeplechase horse. He is a wonderful horse to work with and has given students unforgettable experiences. He has just had laser surgery to remove a lot of sarcoids and here we see him looking beautiful. A big gentle boy, he will make someone a wonderful friend. Came in July 2009

Weeti {left}
Weeti is a little cracker and lovely to be around. He came across from Ireland with a rather hazy history.
He is a young ex racehorse with a lovely temperament and he responds beautifully to the healing. His first session was so intense that he almost fell over in the stable, and he took several hours to come around. He came here in July 2009 |
