I think, for me the biggest step was when we turned
up a steep track which (I hadn't realised) led onto
a very big scary (when you're me), open field. I
have to admit that I did consider getting off and
felt extremely dizzy and sick but tried the anchor
technique and although I couldn't say I actually
felt any different for it, it must have helped as
I did carry on and got the whole way across the
field. (I asked Roo to be brave for me this time
and she just went ahead really confidently and quietly!)
I
guess the long and short of it is that we did
it! I never, ever thought I'd be able to hack
by myself on Roo and had almost ruled competing
out as well due to the napping back to other
horses - but I now know that we can do it
and I can't thank you enough! I know that we've
still got a lot of work to do and it may never be
easy but I feel like I know a way through it now
and that is such a big relief!
Thank you again!

Just thought I'd let you know that Roo and I did
a sponsored ride today! She was as good as gold
and I had absolutely no fears or qualms about
going at all! She even spent most of the ride out
in front of the others, which she would never
have done before (due to my fear I'm sure!).
While the others battled with brakes and over excited
horses, Roo was as cool as a cucumber and happy
to gallop, canter, walk or trot whenever I asked!
Oh and the other good news is that we won the
dressage comp a couple of weeks ago! My main
aim was not to spend the test being bucked and bronked
around the school and leave the gate in one piece
so to come 1st (and 4th in the 2nd test!) was
a massive bonus! Hope you're other clients are enjoying
as much success from your methods as I am!

Jan's comment:- Lizzie will freely admit
she had reached the stage where she was terrified
of riding her beautiful young mare. My first visit
was for a strange behavioural problem, which stopped
almost at once after a healing communication.
Following that, we worked with Roo's handling, as
she was rather difficult to lead and tended to push
Liz around. Half an hour later, and follow up work
from Liz and Roo became a dream to handle.
The
next session was a concentrated 1.5 hours working
on Lizzie's fears. This powerful session started
Lizzie on a strong path to finding her courage and,
as you can see, she is now competing. The main reason
why this was such an astounding success, was that
Lizzie was open minded and went with whatever we
felt was right at the time, and she committed to
working with me for the benefit of her horse.
For me
Lizzie represents the perfect client!
